We are very excited to announce that a licensing deal with a major company is in the works to manufacture & distribute the Remote Speedy Hat. The deal will result in an even farther improved 3rd generation version available in stores all over the world! This means that we are currently unable to take new orders for the Remote Speedy Hat through Legacy Percussion Gear effective immediately. We are using this time to ensure that the next generation of the Remote Speedy Hat will be the slickest yet.
Please keep your eyes peeled for all the latest developments with this exciting project - we are working hard to have the all new 3rd Generation Remote Speedy Hat available as soon as possible.
Thanks for your support, Bill Bachman
The company we were working on a manufacturing/distribution deal with got bought by a bigger company and the conditions & timing were no longer right for the Remote Speedy Hat to go that direction. Currently the project is on hold as I focus my efforts on my www.drumworkout.com website, clinics, teaching (over skype & locally in Dallas) and my growing family. There truly is no other product out there that can perform as well as the Remote Speedy Hat. A product so different/novel does take time to catch on and there's still a lot of interest in the product, so don't be surprised if/when you see it make a big resurgence!
Thanks & happy drumming, Bill Bachman
New for 2012, the Remote Speedy Hat ™ version 2.0 by Legacy Percussion Gear is even better than the original! This patent pending remote hi hat invented by Bill Bachman is the first remote hi hat to truly work without the lag and drag associated with remote hi hats, in fact, all the reviews (Modern Drummer, DRUM! Magazine, etc.) find it to be as fast or faster than a traditional straight hi hat stand. The secret to the speedy action is the patent pending design which virtually eliminates friction and lets the hi hat cymbals both react and recoil instantly, just like a hi hat should.
The Remote Speedy Hat TM is designed to be used as your primary hi hat as it allows the hi hat cymbals to be moved toward the center of the kit, eliminating the need for the right hand to cross over and trap the left hand/stick underneath. Bottom line: It's faster than a straight stand, makes everything you play now easier, opens up a million new possibilities, packs up lighter than a straight stand, and is virtually indestructible!
